I was a therapist in my heart long before I received the education and the credentialing for it. God put a passion within me to help heal soul wounds. 

Originally from Michigan, I earned my Bachelor of Social Work Cum Laude from Western Michigan University in 2015. I earned my Master of Social Work Magna Cum Laude from Michigan State University in 2016. I hold a School Social Work certification, a Clinical Trauma Professional certification, and I am currently becoming certified in Medicinal Plants with Cornell University. I have some interest in pursuing a Doctorate in Business Psychology. Do I want the education or do I just wanna be called Dr. Slay? iono, we'll see.

I am licensed to practice in both Hawai'i and Florida and have been practicing for 10 years. I began my career in Michigan as a School-Based Therapist before moving to Maui, Hawaii in 2019. On Maui, I continued my path of working primarily with children, adolescents, and their families as a Behavioral Health Specialist for the Hawaii Department of Education. From there, I worked at The Community Clinic of Maui. 

In 2023, I moved to Oʻahu during a personal season of healing that ultimately gave rise to a long-held dream I had carried since adolescence: opening my own private practice. In 2024, Slay Therapy was recognized for excellence through state funding and has consistently received five-star client reviews. I've been blessed with the opportunity to work with thousands of people over the course of my career. 

In 2025, I founded Her Lamp in Medellín, Colombia.  Her Lamp is an education platform and community created for women in healing and helping professions. We support women in honoring their God-given gifts while expanding their vision, voice, and capacity for service. The work centers on sustainable growth in mindset, creativity, leadership, branding, and impact without burnout and without dimming the inner light.
